Post 6 in the Concord & 9th Triple-Step Happy Day card series explores bright colour combinations created using the triple-step stamping technique, showcasing layered stamping and bold handmade card designs.
For these cards, I tried to use bolder, more “boy” colours in an attempt to make designs that would suit boys. In the end, though, the overall design — with its hearts, flowers, and scalloped details — still leaned a little more feminine than I’d originally planned. That said, I was really happy with how the cards turned out anyway, and I had a great time creating them.
I also stepped well outside my comfort zone by stamping with yellow, a colour I rarely use. In fact, these are the first yellow letters I’ve stamped in my 21 years of papercrafting — which made me laugh a little as I was making them. Normally my yellow ink is reserved for flower centres!!
