Aluminium foil, coffee filters and inks

Dear Bloggers,
I signed up for the wonderful 'Life Book' classes and watched a video of Christy Tomlinson creating a gorgeous art journal page using aluminium foil, sprays and coffee filters.  I then had a dabble and experiment with these materials.  I was not very happy with my results but I believe the technique has lots of potential - even if I haven't personally seen it yet!!!
Here is a photographic journal of my playing.

lay stencils over coffee filters

 dry coffee filters

Use gel medium to glue the filters to the foil.

Cut up to make simple flower shapes

My Kaisercraft Mixed Media Chest and Scrapbook Creations Magazine

Dear Bloggers,
A big hello.
Here is a look at my Kaisercraft Mixed Media Chest that was featured in the most recent edition of Scrapbook Creations.  I love the Kaisercraft Chest and all the little pieces of Scrapmatts chipboard made the whole chest come alive.

Walking the Overland Track and Kaisercraft Pickled Pear Collection

Dear Bloggers,
Last November we were fortunate enough to do the Cradle Mountain Huts 6 day walk in Tasmania's World Heritage Area.  We followed the famous Overland Track extending from Cradle Valley to Lake St Clair.  It was a brilliant holiday - we all loved it.
I thought Kaisercraft Pickled Pear Collection was perfect for the stories that I wanted to tell.

Still one double LO to go which I will complete in the next couple of days.
Here are few little cards that I quickly created with the left overs from my messy table.

Tiffany's Wild Wild West 18th Birthday Party and October Afternoon's Sasparilla Collection

Dear Bloggers,
Last June my beautiful Tiffany turned 18 and she had a 'Wild Wild West Party'.  October Afternoon's Sasparilla Range was perfect although it was a fun challenge for me to do Cowboy Layouts as they do not fall under the umbrella of my normal girlie/florally  numbers.  In fact one of the double LOs is all photos and no embellishments.  Tiff wants to take this to Bathurst Uni with her when she moves out to College this month and hang it on her wall :)

The first layout is about the family.

Here is the double LO with all the photos.

Tiff made her own cake - needless to say in the shape of a Cowboy Boot and it was brilliant.
