Christmas ATCs

Dear Bloggers,
My DT reveal for Scrapmatts this month included some Christmas ATCs which I made into cards.  I used their gorgeous reindeers, embossed them with white embossing powder and tied ribbons with bells around their necks.

Tiffany Starting Uni

Dear Bloggers,
This year Tiff has been attending Charles Stuart University (CSU) in Bathurst studying paramedics.  Brad and I went with her on the first day to help her move in.  Here is the LO of this day.
Now at the very end of first year we can safely say that she has had a 'wonderful' time.

This is the last of the layouts of my beautiful Tiffany leaving school complete.  She is now 3 weeks off finishing her first year of Paramedics at Bathurst Uni.  Wow it has taken me a whole year to scrap the photos!!

Heartfelt Creations Semi Finalist

Dear Bloggers,

Wow I have been short listed as a Heartfelt Creations Semi finalist.  I am so excited as they are such a wonderful company with gorgeous papers, stamps and dies.  The products all magically coordinate together and with a bit of time and lots of glitter.  .voila...you can create amazing projects.

I am, however, also  a bit nervous as now it is time for you all to vote on the favourite blogs from all the semi-finalists. I would love you to vote for me as I would dearly love to be on the Heartfelt Creations Design team.  I would work very hard and do my very best at all times.

Here is one of my Design Team Applications.

Mother Daughter High Tea

Dear Bloggers,
This LO was published in Scrapbooking Memories and it is especially memorable for me because of the VERY long time it took me to hand sew the title.  The talented Anne Patterson, who is on the Scrapmatts' Design team with me, always stitches amazing  designs and words into her cards and LO.  I was so impressed that I was motivated to have a go myself.  Well there is nothing natural about stitching paper...I'm sticking to my trusty sewing machine and admiring Anne's work.

Peggy The Lion, Dylusions Inks and Stencils

Dear Bloggers,
Here is LO that was published in a recent Scrapbooking Memories Magazine edition.
Dylusions inks are so wonderful to use as they are so vibrant and they NEVER block. I created this background whilst playing around with my inks and stencils.  The photo of Peggy seemed to work well with the background and it looked even better when I matted it onto some scrap packaging that was lying on my floor. (See there are benefits to being messy).
Peggy was our pug.  She was the sweetest and friendliest dog possible.  She did not have a fierce bone anywhere in her body - so I had to laugh when the girls dressed her up like a lion.  Peg was entered into the 'Dog Club' doggie dress up Christmas competition and guess what --she won.  Needless to say she was very glad to get the costume off.  As you can see from the photo she was bursting out of it anyway!!!

Sweet Peggy died at age 8 from a brain tumour.

We now have 2 dogs and here is a super cute picture of Brodie.

Tiffany Leaving School - Everyday Eclectic by Echo Park

Dear Bloggers,
My youngest daughter Tiffany left school last year.  This double page LO captures what happened at the Leavers' Chapel Service and the student/ parents' morning tea that followed.  The girls released magnificent white doves which flew so beautifully into the sky.  Each student was given a single red rose and Tiff wanted a special photo with Mrs Bennet her favourite teacher.  It was a lovely morning.

This is a double LO of the Champagne Breakfast that we attended before the Leavers' Service.

She Faced the World - Mixed Media 'She Art'.

Dear Bloggers,
Here is my mixed media canvas that was published in Scrapbooking Memories.  I really enjoyed doing Christy Tomlinson's 'She Art' 1 and 2 courses.  Christy's signature painting for the class just took my breathe away so here is my take on this.  I rarely use a green palette (normally opting for blue) so it was  a refreshing change. I used Scapmatts chipboard in her hair to add texture and because their flowers are so lovely.
