Charming, Simple and Cheap to make Christmas Cards using Scrapmatts Reindeers and Snowflake.

Dear Bloggers,

I had some adorable Scrapmatts, chipboard Reindeers in my stash and I covered them with white embossing powder. Some pretty paper in the background and a Scrapmatts Snowflake and 'viola' card one was done.

Card 2 used the same reindeer but this time on a stamped background (by Stamping Up). Once again, super quick and easy.

Here are the links to the large and small reindeer. Check them out, Scrapmatts have some amazing chipboard!!!

Christmas Cards with Chipboard Snowflakes and Christmas Trees.

Dear Bloggers,
The beautiful chipboard that had been sitting in the bottom of my drawer for years was crying out to be used.

I wanted to create cards with 'texture on texture,' so my old embossing folders were yanked from storage crate. Using a palette of white, gold and Kraft cardstock, these cards came together very easily. really like Jennifer McGuire and in one of her recent videos she was discussing things that made crafting  enjoyable. 'Using old supplies' was one of her recipes for happiness.  I nailed this one as everything here (except the white card) is at least 5 years old!!!

Bright and Bold Christmas Cards - Paper Piecing using Spellbinders, 'Be Bold Block Merry Christmas Die' and Spellbinders, 'Christmas Blooms'. Post 3 of 4

Dear Bloggers,

Nothing is more therapeutic than sitting down and piecing beautiful papers together to make gorgeous block colour cards.  That is of course, unless you loose all 'those those' tiny but very important pieces of paper.  Of yeap, I lost lots of this!!  I ended up releasing my cut outs onto 'Glad, Press and Seal' which has enough adhesive to stick all the pieces, large and small, but the cut outs can be easily removed when needed.
I then adorned the text with Spellbinders, 'Christmas Blooms'.  I have used this die set sooooooo much and absolutely love it!!!
Needless to say, I got totally carried away piecing together and decorating 'lots and lots' of cards. These cards have been put into 4 separate posts: I invite you to have a look.

I love how you could use the cut outs as the text in one card and the background in the next.  Not a skerrick of paper was wasted.

The little upside down 'r' is Merry is also a fun twist. (This comes with the 'Be Bold Block Merry Christmas Die')

Two of these cards have Scrapmatt's, chipboard reindeers  I have used these gorgeous reindeers over and over again on so may Christmas cards and layouts. I just keep a stash in my drawer and pull them out when I need them!! (Which is every Christmas). The large reindeer is on the first card and small one on the third card.

I love how you mix and match papers, with not a skerrick of paper wasted.

The little upside down 'r' is Merry is also a fun twist. (This comes with the 'Be Bold Block Merry Christmas Die')
