Christmas Mixed Media Layout (5 of 5) - boy

Dear Bloggers,

Here is the 5th in my 'Mixed Media Christmas' series, this time using reds, browns and pale aqua blue.
The big burlap leaves by Green Tara create an earthy texture complimented by the rough twine bows behind the flowers.  The gorgeous flowers are by 'Green Tara' and '49 and Market' and the blue butterfly is a little' Prima gem' that has been sitting in my stash for a long time just waiting for its moment to take flight.  Those beautiful 'Scrapmatts reindeers' watch over the page and Tim Holtz's  'Holiday Postmarks' stamps add a playfulness.  Lastly the frames  by Kaisercraft , like the butterfly, have finally emerged from my stash and I love them. (Don't know why I did not use them earlier...ah the story of so many scrapbook supplies.

Sorry this post is out of order. Oh woops - I just realised one of my reindeer has a broken antler.😔  I also need to learn to sew straight...lucky this is mixed media, not dress making...lol

13 Christmas cards using the 'Jingle All the Way' papers by Studio 73.

Dear Bloggers,

Here are some Christmas cards I made using the gorgeous and super cute 'Jingle All The Way' papers by Studio 73.  The grey, blue, green and red palette is so versatile and totally irresistible.  Don't forget to add those sparkly stars - a bit of glitter and bling  goes a long way.

Christmas Layout 4 of 4 using 'Jingle All the Way' papers by Studio 73.

Dear Bloggers,

Here is my final layout using the 'Jingle All The Way Collection' by Studio 73.
I tried to get a bit arty and flick some paint around.  I think I prefer the previous 3 'cleaner looking' layouts, but it was fun giving it a go.

38 Christmas cards using the 'Merry Little Christmas Collection' by Pebbles.

Hi Bloggers,

I purchased the embellishments and a 12 x 12inch paper pad of the Pebbles, 'Merry Little Christmas Collection.' Can you believe it - these supplies stretched to make 38 Christmas cards and 5 layouts (please see my previous post)....wow.   Every paper in the collection is gorgeous, the colours (red, pink, green, teal and gold) are super nice  and the hedgehogs, santas driving cars, reindeers, stockings, flowers and tags are totally delightful.

The hedgehog card below is a copy from the Pebbles Blog.  I just love the little guy in the sleigh and paper fringing.  Yah....I used my fringing scissors that have been sitting unused in my drawer forever.  Bring on more paper fringing!!

The rest of the cards are designed and made by me.  They are all simple and easy, just made from the papers and embellishments that were sitting around on my desk.   I took the time to mount the tags, embellishments and images onto recycled cardboard and was pleased with the layered and sturdy look this imparted to the cards.  Adding the bells, bling and dimensional magic, were all fun little touches.  Warning, however, adding bells to your cards, increases the postage as the thick envelopes are often classed as parcels.  (tip - use small bells or save up).

More paper fringing - used those finging scissors again.

PS.  Now I just have to find enough friends to actually send the cards to....lol
