The final post in my Easter Pickup Truck Card Series featuring double-sided handmade cards created with the Big Pickup Cab and Big Pickup Tailgate stamps, dies, and stencils, decorated using the Loads of Spring stamps and dies by Honey Bee Stamps.

Finally, I made it. I completed all seven cards, with this final one created in pink for a little lady who absolutely loves that colour. I was colouring well into the night, determined to get this card finished in time.

Working to a creative timeline is never easy, and this one definitely pushed me, but for better or worse, I made it to the finish line. Despite the late night and the pressure, I’m really glad I persevered — this card feels like a fitting way to end the series.

It was time to make a ruby red pickup truck, because no pickup truck series feels complete without one in red.

What colour to make this truck? Yellow is bright and cheerful… but I don’t really like yellow. Oh well — yellow it is. Surprisingly, this ended up being my favourite card of the lot. Maybe I do like yellow after all. lol

Behind the Featured Card

This is the first post in my Easter Pickup Truck Card Series featuring double-sided handmade cards created with the Big Pickup Cab and Big Pickup Tailgate stamps, dies, and stencils, decorated using the Loads of Spring stamps and dies by Honey Bee Stamps.

If you love stamping as much as I do, you have to check out the fabulous Big Pickup stamp and die sets from Honey Bee Stamps. The Big Pickup Cab set includes everything you need to create the front of a classic pickup truck, while the Big Pickup Tailgate set finishes it off with a fun view from the back.

You can absolutely make these cards using just the front of the truck — or, if you’re a glutton for punishment like me, you can do both sides. The problem was that I had seven cards to make for seven little people at Easter, which meant a lot of Copic colouring, stamping, and creating ahead of me. Anything multiplied by seven takes a very long time!

Normally, I just start creating and let my creative flow decide how many cards I make. I work until I’m done — or until I simply don’t feel like making any more. This time was different. Seven cards were required, and there was a deadline… and it was far too close for comfort.

Boy Box Cards using, 'Construction Trucks' and 'Construction Truck Additions' stamps and coordinating dies by Pretty Pink Posh, 'Stitched Hillside Borders' by Lawn Fawn and 'Outside the Box' by My Favorite Things. (Post 3 of 6)

Dear Bloggers,

I just love the stamp and coordinating die sets Construction Trucks and Construction Additions by Pretty Pink Posh. Knowing how much some little people in my life love trucks, diggers, and more, I couldn’t resist making some cards.

The Outside the Box Die-namics by My Favorite Things create cards that fold up nicely into an envelope but open into a 3D, stand-alone box card. I used Stitched Hillside Borders by Lawn Fawn to cut the rolling hills.

I made ten 3D box cards and four regular cards, which I’ve shared across six posts. Have a look at them all if you like—I think they’re worth it!  Please let me know what you think.

Thanks so much for calling by.

The long window die, used to cut these cards is, 'Uniquely Creative Slim 3 Window Die,' by Uniquely Creative. It is very versatile and I love the stitched border.
