The dolls are the product of paper piecing using a stamp made by Prima Marketing..from the Julie Nutting Collection. This stamp is called 'Audrey'. I purchased the stamp from my local scrapbooking store 'Catchy Crafts' in sydney Australia. Have a google and find where she is in stock near you.
beautiful cards Jenny , it inspired me to buy the stamp today however I was wondering what you used for the body , was it cardstock that you coloured? if so what did you use, brand and colour please ? This will be the first time that I have used these stamps so I'm unsure of what to use , thanks in advance

I used some old paper that was skin toned in colour with a faint text on it. Look through your stash and find some paper that has flesh colours on it...don't worry too much as only a very small amount shows. With my Audreys the only extra colouring was on their cheeks. As the papers were quite strong in colour I used very small amount of Crimson water colour pencil, added water and dabbed it with a tissue until Imwas happy with the results. Build layers slowly, so add a bit of colour and let it dry. Add more if needed. Hope this helps. Have fun and really anything goes.
Hi Jenny, LOVE these girls.... did you use the Raining Cats and Dogs paper in the 12" or 8" packets? I ordered my stamp and have the 8" x 8" paper pack, just wondered if I needed the 12" for this project. Thank you!
Hi Deborah, I used the 12 x 12 inch paper pack but there is no reason that the 8 x 8 inch one would not work as well. If you look at the doll wearing the black dress with small dots you will see the background cut out was too big from the 12 x 12 inch pack and I was not able to use it all. I think the 8 x 8inch would actually work better. Use what you have as it will be great.
I love the cards! Can you tell me where to
ReplyDeletepurchase the dolls?
Thank You,
Debbie
