Behind the Featured Card and More

Post 9 in my Concord & 9th Triple-Step Happy Day card series covers scalloped-shaped card bases and embellishing techniques using layered details.

How cute are these scalloped cards? It was fun to make something a little different, and the scalloped edges made it so easy to wrap twine around the card front. On cards 1 and 3, I stamped the sentiment on vellum — I love how the translucent vellum lets the background show through while still softening it slightly.

These cards definitely have a lot going on, with bows, twine, vellum, and embossing all working together, but I felt the elements balanced each other nicely. I hope you think so too.
